Once upon a time, in a great bustling city, there lived a handsome young man. His hair was golden beams of sunshine on a lazy Sunday afternoon, and his eyes were as bright and blue as the puddles left after the clearing of a summer storm. Unfortunately, this beautiful youth had never seen the wonders of nature which were reflected in his visage. He was too wrapped up in the busy, dirty, crowded city. Since the day he was born he had never left it to escape to the pleasures of nature. Indeed, the only time he went outside at all, even within the city, was on his way from his house to his car, from his car to his office, and at the end of the day from his office to his car and from his car back to his house again.
This young man lived what most would call a lonely life, working in his office all day long and then bringing his papers home and working in his house all night. His ambition, however, blinded him from seeing his own loneliness. In fact, it could be said that eventually his ambition blinded him from seeing everything else as well. After hours of staring at computer screens and reading tiny print under flickering fluorescent lights, his much abused eyes gave out on him and he went completely blind.
